Established in 1881 Castle Rock was a Denver / Rio Grande Railway depot. Castle Rock is full of charm and history. Located just off I-25 The Town of Castle Rock is the county seat of Douglas County, Colorado and is named after the prominent, castle tower-shaped butte near the center of town. The Town of Castle Rock encompasses 33 square miles and is located in the heart of Douglas County uniquely situated between Colorado’s two largest cities, Denver and Colorado Springs.
